Since I was nine years old, I've been going to roller rinks. It wasn't until 2002, though, when I saw my first jamskating team, Sk8 Train. At the time Sk8 Train's skaters included Mike Williams, Tyree Williams, and Anthony Balsam. One night Anthony Balsam and I were working on a routine, and we saw that there was a competition - naturally, we decided to enter. I wore a Sk8 Train shirt to match Antony and learned a 540 corkscrew for the first time. We finished the routine 45 minutes before the competition and we ended up smashing, beating Tyree and Mike. Tyree said I could keep the shirt and join Sk8 Train. Being on Sk8 Train was an important part of my skating career, as it gave me the opportunity to travel with other skaters. It only took a little bit of time traveling to meet Team Breaksk8 and the Breaksk8 Entertainment crew. We all clicked, so I left Sk8 Train and joined Breaksk8. Since then I've never stopped.
